First and foremost, we hope this note finds you, your families and loved ones well as the unprecedented Coronavirus impacts our communities. Over the past few weeks, MCA has been closely monitoring the COVID-19 virus and creating a response plan to assist customers and protect our employees. MCA’s top priority is the safety of our MCA team and our valued customers. The team at MCA is ready to support our customers and continue to provide the highest level of customer service possible. To that end, MCA has implemented several strategies in response to the COVID-19 virus.
Employees at MCA are taking additional precautions during their day to day operations to reduce the potential spread of germs as recommended by the CDC. Also, we have asked employees that feel unwell or have cared for a sick loved one to work from home. As a technology company, MCA is well equipped to have a remote workforce and has ensured that all employees who can work from home are set up and ready to work remotely. Our work from home support has been in place for a very long time and we currently have employees working from home and the office throughout the workweek. As a service provider, we understand that remote response is not always possible, and we will continue to send field engineers onsite to support our customers as appropriate.
MCA will maintain our standard office hours, and as always, our Chattanooga help desk is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week to assist with service needs.
We already see delays in the supply chain for IT equipment, parts, and supplies due to the plant shutdowns in China and other areas of the world. We are working with our manufacturing partners to ensure that all delays are communicated to our customers in an efficient manner. As a proactive measure, MCA has already purchased a large number of used laptop computers. This inventory of laptops is available for lease or purchase to our customers. We understand that our customers may need to send their employees home to work, and we are prepared to provide a short or long term solution for these requests.
