History

Mike Collins & Associates, Inc. (MCA) is a privately held company founded in 1987. MCA began with two employees selling I.T. hardware and has grown to over 85 employees in 3 cities, including Chattanooga, Nashville, and Knoxville, with an I.T. service staff available to support every customer’s constantly changing I.T. needs nationwide. At MCA, we offer sales, service, depot, networking, cloud, security, and leasing – a complete I.T. Solution for our customers. MCA’s expertise allows customers the ability to focus on their business.

The unique driving force behind the success of MCA is our commitment to a high ethical standard, maintaining our integrity in everything we do. MCA is dedicated to long term partnerships with customers and suppliers. The only way to achieve those partnerships is to hold fast to an unquestionable high standard of ethics, taking care to protect our relationships, our employees, and our reputation as a company that will always “do the right thing”. Because of our dedication to this principle, MCA continues to service clients who have been patrons for the past 29 years, as well as develop new partnerships.

In 1996, our support expanded into the Service Industry to increase our customers’ profitability by decreasing their downtime. Our expert field service engineers and onsite depot repair team consist of certified technicians with the knowledge and ability to maintain your I.T. equipment. Our warehouse and service vans are stocked with parts to ensure minimum downtime.

Over the years, MCA has created strong partnerships with other leaders in the technology field to continue to make sure we are at the cutting edge, giving our customers a distinct advantage. Mike Collins was asked by the executive board of Dell Computers to be one of twenty-five small business owners in the US to sit on Dell’s first Partner Advisory Council.

In 2009, MCA adapted once again to technology evolution by expanding our service reach into new markets through managed services. Our offering was so successful that it sparked a change in the way businesses consume IT. Immediately MCA began to design the MCA Cloud, a virtual hosting solution that quickly went from concept to production. The buzz of “the cloud” left local businesses confused about what direction Information Technology was headed. MCA was quick to react by offering a fully tailored solution that allowed businesses to focus on their business, and not their aging technology. As a result of such success, MCA designed redundant datacenters utilizing best-of-breed equipment, a Network Operations Center with 24/7 monitoring capabilities, and has expanded their network support team. 

In 2012, MCA celebrated a quarter of a century in business as a leading provider of I.T. Solutions in Chattanooga, with a regional presence in the Southeast that continues to grow. MCA is excited to be a part of this great community that supports small business and is constantly strategizing on what exciting new technology that we can bring to Chattanooga. MCA is also the proud recipient of the 2008 and 2013 Chattanooga Chamber Small Business of the Year Award. 

MCA has recently completed a major expansion in cloud and support services with the addition of  a 2,500 square foot data center and 3,000 square foot support center in 2014. The 24/7 Helpdesk was also launched at this time.
